I love painting, I love colors, and I’m curious…
I worked in real estate and property management, and spent years in big real estate companies before starting my own business in 1995. To find a meditative escape from my job, I wanted to do something relaxing.
I’ve always known about my talent for painting, something I discovered early and that runs in my family since my grandfather was a known painter. I began with Pop Art, which I’ve always been a fan of, and developed my “totalbunt” style. I painted famous buildings, monuments, landscapes, cities… Each original that I felt turned out well, I had printed and created a 3D version using cutouts with a scalpel. That’s how my “3D-Cities” series came about. There are now 30 different ones, and more are on the way. Check out my website at www.totalbunt.de.
I’ve been painting my Loreley series 15 years ago, selling them, and painting them again. The cheeky Loreley, who turns sailors’ heads, is the short version of the old legend that has always inspired me, and I’ve painted her in various styles over and over.
I had the idea to bring these paintings to life as short animated clips. I’m really into NFTs and already have a significant collection.
I spent months digitizing my paintings, splitting them into layers, and adding motion with animation software. This required me to learn a lot of new skills, which was quite a challenge for me! But I enjoy it so much that I can see myself doing it for years to come.
My first NFT, “The Aquarium,” which I’ve also painted and sold in various forms, is now on Opensea.
My Loreley series includes 50 different pieces and is almost done. I have more plans in the pipeline.
I’m excited to hear your feedback.
Best wishes and enjoy exploring my websites.
